3 Products Designed to Make Dialysis Easier

It is estimated that over 660,000 people in the United States live with kidney failure. Of these, 468,000 are on dialysis. Dialysis is a treatment for kidney failure that removes any unwanted toxins, waste products, and excess fluids from your body. When your kidneys fail, your body has trouble cleaning the blood of toxins as well as keeping your body’s chemical balance where it needs to be.

Molded Products stocks over 200 different dialysis products. Some are more basic, like clamps and holders and others are more specialized for recirculation and flow restriction. Each part plays a special role in the care and implementation of dialysis treatment.

  1. Sterile Recirculation Sets
Molded Products’ Sterile Recirculation Set comes in four different configurations. A female-to-male Luer adapter, 2 different Male to Male Luer adapters (one with ends capped, one without), and a female-to-female Luer adapter. These are used when you need an extension for connecting arterial and/or venous fistula connectors to the hemodialysis blood tubing. They have a sterile, non-slip finish that is blood compatible. Their end caps can be used to cap off Luer lines.
  2. Dialyzer Holder
The Dialyzer Holder from Molded Products is one of their more versatile products. It’s used to attach a dialyzer to a dialysis machine and can be configured to hold a wide variety of columns and filters. It can even be configured to mount to a wall! The metal pieces are made of stainless steel so you won’t have to worry about rust and can be easily cleaned with soap and water or a disinfectant.
  3. Transducer Protector
The Transducer Protector is what started it all for Molded Products. It provides a combination of barrier properties and airflow so they can deliver the best protection possible to everyone involved in hemodialysis treatment. High airflow also allows hemodialysis equipment to rapidly respond to changes in blood pressure. Making sure patients receive the highest quality of care. The protector comes with a membrane pore size of 0.2 microns. It helps prevent blood and dialyzing fluid from damaging transducers as well as the internal pressure monitoring lines.
